About The Position

The Cardiac Catheterization RN is a registered nurse with advanced training and knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular system. A Cath Lab nurse performs a variety of duties may include but not limited to; circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring cases for diagnostic and interventional procedures for cardiac, carotid, peripheral, permanent and temporary pacemakers, ICD implants, EP studies, and IABP insertions. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• BLS required
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire or status change
• Basic dysrhythmia within 120 days of hire or status change

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of accredited nursing program
• BSN
• 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting
• 1 year of Cath Lab experience
• IABP, Angiojet and IVUS experience
• Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and x-ray equipment
• RCIS

Responsibilities

• Scrubbing cases for diagnostic and interventional procedures for cardiac, carotid, peripheral, permanent and temporary pacemakers, ICD implants, EP studies, and IABP insertions.
• Monitoring cases for diagnostic and interventional procedures for cardiac, carotid, peripheral, permanent and temporary pacemakers, ICD implants, EP studies, and IABP insertions.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.
