The PRN Cath Lab Registered Nurse delivers specialized, high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, and endovascular procedures. Designed for maximum unit flexibility, this cross-functional role rotates seamlessly across preoperative preparation, intra-procedural nursing (scrub, circulate, monitor), post-procedure recovery (PACU/Holding), and on-call emergency coverage. Call Coverage & Operational Support On-Call Availability: Fulfill assigned PRN on-call commitments (weeknights, weekends, and holidays) to support emergency interventions (STEMI call protocol) within the hospital’s designated response time (e.g., 30 minutes). Cross-Functional Adaptability: Flex fluidly between holding, procedural rooms, and recovery based on daily department volume and patient acuity. Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality care based on established clinical protocols and physician/provider orders. The RN collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and desired outcomes, while maintaining a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
