The invasive Cardiovascular Technologist acts as a critical member of the patient care team within the department, collaborates fully with the other care team members in assuring continuity of care for their patients. The invasive Cardiovascular Technologist promotes a philosophy of patient/family-focused care in all interactions with patients, families, and hospital personnel and focus on understanding and meeting customer needs. The Cath Lab offers state-of-the-art technology including Philips and Siemens X-Ray systems, IVUS, OCT, and Intra Cardiac Echo (ICE). It also features a High-Risk Coronary PCI Program with Intravascular Lithotripsy, Atherectomy, Impella, IABP, and ECMO, a CTO Program, a Structural Program including TAVR, Pulmonic, Mitral and Tricuspid Valve therapies, ASD/PFO closure, and a robust Adult Congenital Heart program. Additionally, there is a Peripheral Program with Carotid stenting, Balloon Pulmonary Angioplasty (BPA), Pulmonary Embolism Thrombectomy and EKOS, and a Pediatric Program in collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital.
