About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Austin is undergoing significant growth, including the development of a new cardiac catheterization (cath) lab, expanded imaging services, and a new breast imaging and mammography center. This role is part of building and preparing teams ahead of phased openings throughout 2026, offering a unique opportunity to shape workflows, build team culture, and support new service launches in a dynamic and evolving environment. The medical center is a full-service hospital located in Oak Hill, offering a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, a 24/7 Emergency Department, and is a designated Primary Stroke Center. Specialized treatments include breast surgery, heart and vascular care, orthopedics, otolaryngology (ENT), women’s health, and urogynecology. The RN Cath Lab Manager promotes a helpful work environment, ensures compassionate care for patients, families, and staff, plans and assesses policies, manages budgets and resources, oversees improvement initiatives, organizes educational programs, and participates in governance councils, while also providing direct nursing care.

Requirements

  • Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Required certifications: (ACLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support, (RN) Registered Nurse license, (BLS) Basic Life Support.
  • If not BLS certified, it must be completed within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.
  • Have a broad knowledge of the standards and procedures for nursing and patient care.
  • Be aware of healthcare laws, regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in all forms, spoken or written.
  • Have the ability to form helpful patient care strategies and modify them as needed to cater for diverse patient needs.
  • Be able to make sensible recommendations regarding the distribution of resources to maintain quality and productivity standards.
  • Have prior experience in handling operational management and guiding a team.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment when assessing policies and establishing procedures.
  • Be comfortable using general computer software, systems for healthcare management, and electronic documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of (3) three years of experience in Cath Lab preferred.

  • Passionately participate in governance and decision-making processes to enhance nursing procedures and workplace conditions.
