As a new team member, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a new, state of the art heart hospital designed with one purpose in mind: delivering world class, patient entered cardiovascular care. In anticipation of our opening, select roles will begin as early as Summer 2026, allowing you to complete comprehensive orientation and training at our nationally recognized Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospitals. This immersive experience ensures you are fully prepared, aligned with our culture, and equipped with the highest standards of clinical excellence before the Frisco campus opens. The Heart Hospital Frisco – 7600 Better Way, Frisco, TX 75033 • Department: Invasive Cardiology • Position: Cath Lab RN Charge Nurse • Shift: Days: 7am - 5:30pm with rotating day off (Mon or Fri) • Required Experience: 2 years of Charge Nurse experience in the Cath/EP Lab • Orientation will be held at The Heart Hospital Plano location: 1100 Allied Drive, Plano, TX 75093

Requirements

  • 2 years of Charge Nurse experience in the Cath/EP Lab
  • Successful completion of an accredited nursing education program.
  • A Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). If not certified yet, acquire these within (30) thirty days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A deep understanding of nursing procedures and patient care is crucial.
  • Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, guidelines, and standards is essential for this role.
  • Good communication and critical thinking are crucial for articulating patient conditions and forming care plans.
  • Respect for diversity is also important for success in this position.
  • Knowledge of computer systems is beneficial too.

Responsibilities

  • Manages patient care delivery.
  • Supervising, evaluating, and customizing care plans.
  • Accountable for patient care.
  • Ensures safety, delegates tasks, and accepts responsibilities willingly.
  • Execute informed health assessments whilst prioritizing both patient and family needs.
  • Craft, commence, reassess, and amend patient care plans according to clinical outcomes.
  • Support practices that integrate relief, healing, and alleviate unnecessary suffering.
  • Adapt your approach to respect the diversity of patients, embracing their unique needs when formulating care plans.
  • Safeguard patients, standing up for their confidentiality, autonomy, dignity, and rights, passionately representing their concerns.
  • Educate a variety of stakeholders about healthcare processes, documentation techniques, learning opportunities, and outcomes.
  • Join teams with colleagues and the broader community when deploying comprehensive care plans.
  • Adapt a holistic view for problem-solving, employing all available resources.
  • Uphold a high standard of professionalism via participation in governance, decision-making, ongoing education and community service.
