About The Position

The Cath Lab Charge Review Coordinator reviews and reconciles charges for all Cath Lab procedures. Each day, the coordinator uses a report in EPIC to identify procedures from the prior day, then reviews each medical record and confirms that charges are accurate and consistent with revenue policies. The daily objective is to complete review of the previous day’s accounts. The coordinator communicates discrepancies to Cath Lab staff by email and works with them to reconcile differences and support optimal charge capture.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical terminology knowledge required.
• Must be well organized in their work.
• Six months of prior experience; Cath Lab experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Some college preferred.
• Charge capture experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Cath Lab charge capture rules and regulations preferred.
• Prior experience with EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use a daily EPIC report to identify all Cath Lab procedures from the prior day.
• Review the medical record for each procedure and verify that charges are accurate and comply with revenue policies.
• Complete review of the previous day’s accounts each day.
• Email Cath Lab staff about discrepancies and reconcile differences to ensure optimal charge capture.
