About The Position

McMenamins Kalama Harbor Lodge is hiring for a Catering Server! McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington serving handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits, and coffee alongside pub fare. Catering servers are responsible for providing an enjoyable experience for all guests and customers during privately catered and public events. This includes setting up, running, and breaking down events, from small business meetings to large groups with full meals. Duties involve setting up tables, chairs, bars, and AV equipment; serving food (fine dining to buffet style); pouring and serving beverages; waiting on and bussing tables; checking IDs for alcohol purchases; coffee and water service; resetting event spaces; restocking supplies; washing dishes; general cleaning; and attending to customer needs and relations. As this role involves direct customer contact, servers must be available to answer questions and assist guests. This position requires mental agility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Must be 21+
Obtain and maintain a current food handlers’ card
Obtain and maintain a current MAST card
Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

Bartending experience a plus
Previous related experience is preferred
Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred

Responsibilities

Setting up, running, and breakdown of events
