About The Position

Sodexo is growing! We are looking for a Catering Server to join our dynamic team. This position is a permanent role. You will be responsible for supervising and ensuring that an exceptional level of service is achieved for all clients by focusing on employee training, performance management and leadership. You will be asked to guide staff in a productive and efficient manner by ensuring service delivery and event planning standards are met. Ensure that employees comply with all company and local government rules, policies and regulations regarding health safety, food safety and fire and hazard safety. You will also have to assist with inventory management and any other related duties that may be requested.

Requirements

  • Experienced server who enjoys working in a team environment ensuring high quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide prompt, friendly and professional service.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in high-end banquet and event management.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • First Aid and CPR (Valid)
  • Smart Server (Valid)

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma - GED - or similar experience will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Remove dirty dishes, linens, glassware and flatware from tables and counters and transport items to the designated area.
  • Operate and maintain equipment as needed in accordance with established guidelines and safety regulations.
  • Maintain the level of operating supplies (china, dishes, glassware, utensils), condiments, and paper supplies for each serving station, obtaining replacement stock from the stock room according to established guidelines.
  • Reset tables with silverware, tablecloths, napkins and glassware in accordance with established dining room table rules.
  • Supervise and ensure that an exceptional level of service is achieved for all clients by focusing on employee training, performance management and leadership.
  • Guide staff in a productive and efficient manner by ensuring service delivery and event planning standards are met.
  • Ensure that employees comply with all company and local government rules, policies and regulations regarding health safety, food safety and fire and hazard safety.
  • Assist with inventory management and any other related duties that may be requested.
