About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in catering, food service, or a related hospitality role.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in food handling or culinary arts.
• Experience working in a university or large institutional catering environment.
• Familiarity with special dietary needs such as vegan, gluten-free, and allergen-sensitive menus.
• Proficiency in inventory management and event coordination software.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume events.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present a variety of food items according to established recipes and event specifications.
• Coordinate with event planners and clients to understand catering needs, dietary restrictions, and special requests.
• Set up catering stations, buffet lines, and dining areas in a professional and appealing manner.
• Manage inventory and ensure all food supplies are fresh, properly stored, and replenished as needed.
• Adhere strictly to food safety regulations and sanitation standards throughout all stages of food handling.
• Assist with cleanup and breakdown of catering setups promptly after events conclude.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues during events.
