Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years in the hospitality industry, including at least 1 year in catering sales.
  • Strong knowledge of food trends, fine dining service, and event presentation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport and maintain client loyalty.
  • Skilled in developing menu proposals and coordinating with culinary teams.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with CRM systems preferred.
  • Adaptable, organized, and calm under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
  • Commitment to integrity, hospitality excellence, and client satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals in catering or event management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage catering sales opportunities from initial inquiry through execution, ensuring seamless client experiences.
  • Create customized proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders in collaboration with culinary and operations teams.
  • Partner with the Executive Chef and General Manager on menu design, costing, and event planning to ensure profitability and creativity.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities across corporate, social, and community events.
  • Prepare and monitor departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to achieve revenue goals.
  • Manage event logistics including labor planning, setup, service flow, and post-event wrap-up.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including HACCP guidelines.
  • Represent Wolfgang Puck Catering at networking events, tastings, and industry functions to enhance visibility and drive business growth.
  • Support and train hourly and management-level associates, reinforcing excellence in service standards and brand presentation.
