About The Position

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Catering Sales Manager for Legends Global, Hospitality Division at the Moscone. The Catering Sales Manager will plan and execute all sales of food and beverage for events that are large in scale, that average 1,500-80,000 people

Requirements

  • BA Degree is required and/or 3 years’ experience as a Catering/Food and Beverage Sales Manager, Event Planner, Hotel Convention Services Manager or Meeting Planner
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Organized, ability to prioritize and have strong time management skills
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive disposition and ability to motivate all staff to offer hospitality service that exceeds guest’s expectations
  • Able to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) and other hospitality software
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills; experience working with diverse clients, professionals and staff members
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
  • Catering Software Proficient

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hotel and convention experience a plus
  • Familiarity working with unions and an understanding of CBA rules

Responsibilities

  • Primary contact for your assigned client(s) before, during, and after their event.
  • Provide leadership and communications on behalf of your client to Moscone Event Managers, Food, and Beverage Operations.
  • Planning, selling, and details for all menus for each assigned event, including New Item Requests to the Culinary and Purchasing departments.
  • Prepare Excel revenue forecast for hosted and retail services for assigned events.
  • Work with Event Managers and Operations Managers for strategic planning.
  • Create contracts, sales orders, payment, and event analysis, including cost of goods (COG).
  • Act as a liaison in communication between F&B Sales and all other F&B departments, Event Managers and the client.
  • Plan all F&B details of every event assigned to the Associate Director of Sales.
  • Continually interact with clients for program requirements before, during and after each event.
  • Attend production meetings and site visits for assigned events.
  • Communicate event progress and planning details to Senior Sales Manager assigned to your event(s).
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Associate Director of Sales as needed
