Responsibilities: Four Seasons Hotel Denver is looking for a Social Catering Sales Manager who shares our passion for excellence and is enthusiastic about joining our dynamic Events team. The Catering Sales Manager is an integral part of Hotel management who is responsible for attainment of assigned catering/banquet goals that contribute to the overall performance of the hotel. The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for negotiating event business, developing effective sales strategies to counter the competition, developing valuable business leadership that results in additional sales and new customers, and actively soliciting new business and responding to inquiries with the intention of confirming profitable catering business with a wide range of clients. This position both sells and services their events and is primarily focused on the social market (including but not limited to Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Birthday & Anniversary Parties) with a smaller corporate focus. The ideal candidate can pay attention to detail, have high level of creativity, the ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast-paced client driven environment. To be successful in this role they will work cohesively with the banquet, culinary, AV and hotel operational teams to service flawless service to our guests. Requirements

  • A four-year college degree in hospitality management, marketing, business or related degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Two or more years of catering or event sales related experience is required
  • Ability to multitask and work long irregular hours, weekends and evenings
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Actively prospect, sell, and negotiate catering-only events and small room blocks to achieve budgeted revenue targets.
  • Act as the main contact for clients, managing all event details including menu planning, floor plans, timelines, and AV requirements.
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with wedding planners, corporate clients, and social groups.
  • Create accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and turnover documents to ensure seamless execution by banquet teams.
  • Monitor competitors, industry trends, and market conditions to maximize revenue potential.
  • Conduct property tours for prospective clients to showcase facilities.
