About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Catering Manager 2 is responsible for overseeing aspects of catering operations at North Carolina A&T State University. North Carolina A&T State University is the largest Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in the United States, with an enrollment of over 13,000 students—and growing. As the university continues to expand both academically and operationally, its foodservice program is evolving to meet the needs of a vibrant campus community. Requirements

Proven experience leading catering or event operations with a focus on exceptional service.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines.
Collaborative mindset for working closely with culinary teams on diverse, creative menus.
Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
Budget management and cost-control experience.
Flexible, solutions-driven approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
Proficiency with event planning tools and Microsoft Office.
Must have a Valid Driver's License
Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Management Experience - 1 year

Responsibilities

coordinate and manage catering services for a variety of events including conferences, receptions, academic functions, and student activities
oversee catering bookings, schedules, and timelines
ensure the seamless delivery of services in alignment with event specifications
Oversee logistical planning including transportation, supply ordering, and coordination of rental equipment and setup
lead frontline teams, mentoring them in accurate cash handling, operations, open and closing processes
train and manage department HACCP Safety Programs, Sodexo programs and daily operation standards.
