About The Position

Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is seeking a part-time Catering Event Bartender for flexible shifts in the Richmond area. This role is ideal for individuals seeking occasional event work, potentially as a second job. The position involves preparing and serving drinks, handling payments, and assisting with event setup and breakdown. Requirements

• 2+ years of bartending experience, preferably in a catering/banquet setting
• Able to follow directions and work independently
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Must be able to bend, twist, lift at least 50 pounds, and stand on your feet for long periods of time

Responsibilities

• Review the event worksheet before arriving at the event to understand event details, timeline, bar type, and food.
• Check in with the Event Captain or Co-Captain upon arrival and departure.
• Assist with unloading the vehicle and setting up the bar area and glassware.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests during the event.
• Answer guest questions about drink ingredients and make beverage suggestions.
• Verify that all guests served alcohol are of legal drinking age.
• Take payments for drinks if the event has a cash bar, using the Square app.
• Clean up the bar area at the end of the event and pack leftover beverages.
• Assist with the general breakdown of the event, ensuring no debris remains and rentals are neatly stacked.
