About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for UND students only. The role involves maintaining a clean and sanitary dish room, operating dish machines, and ensuring all dishes, silverware, trays, and pans are properly cleaned. The position requires morning availability and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for 3–4 hours
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle and prepare meat products in a commercial kitchen
• Compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements including taking out jewelry and wearing a hairnet
• Must have morning availability
• Able to move 35 – 50 pounds
• Able to work in various temperatures associated with dish machine operations
• Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and complete employment eligibility verification form upon hire
• Must be a UND student

Responsibilities

• Scrubbing pots and pans and loading dishes onto dish machine
• Sorting dishes, silverware, tray and pans, washing them, and returning clean dishes to designated storage areas
• Checking dishes, silverware, trays and pans to ensure proper cleaning
• Operating dish machine according to instructions
• Following dish room checklists
• Sweeping and mopping
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary dish room
• Removing garbage from dish room, rinsing and sanitizing garbage cans
• Other duties as assigned
