About The Position

SSA has partnered with cultural attractions for over 50 years to design hospitality experiences. They focus on admissions, culinary, and retail, integrating innovation and human connection to create a seamless guest journey. Their approach, called 452 Hospitality, emphasizes people, innovation, and operational intelligence to create memorable moments. This role is for a Catering Bartender at the Columbus Zoo.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to articulate to clients, General Manager, and HQ personnel.
• Excellent problem-solving/decision-making skills combined with the ability to be organized.
• Ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform job duties.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes (35lbs) as necessary, which entails lifting.
• Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences for every guest and client, embodying 452 Hospitality.
• Oversee quality, product levels, and inventory of bar products.
• Fulfill guest needs quickly and efficiently, and resolve complaints effectively.
• Ensure proper setup, execution, breakdown, and cleanup of bars during events.
• Execute assigned duties for the overall productivity of banquet events.
• Demonstrate knowledge of alcoholic drinks and bartending techniques with a focus on guest service.
• Maintain a safe environment by serving guests responsibly.
• Perform strenuous manual labor as required, including equipment storage and event setup/teardown of tables and chairs.
• Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards clients, guests, and staff.
• Communicate clearly and openly with leaders for overall success.
• Display a sense of urgency at all times.
• Uphold a professional appearance and mannerism.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.
• Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.
• Promote an inclusive & supportive approach within the Brand team.
• Focus on removing barriers and empowering growth and opportunity for team members.
• Lead by example through Sustainability/Conservation efforts.
• Engage with SSA/Unit in driving community effort through engagement activities.
