About The Position

The Role As a Catering Banquet Bartender at the Multnomah Athletic Club, you'll play a key role in creating exceptional event experiences for members, guests, and clients. From intimate gatherings to large-scale banquets, you'll deliver outstanding food and beverage service while ensuring every event is executed with professionalism, attention to detail, and MAC's high hospitality standards. Requirements

  • Two years of full-service bartending experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Oregon Food Handler Card required.
  • Valid OLCC Service Permit required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous banquet, catering, hospitality, or private dining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional food and beverage service for private dining events, banquets, and special functions.
  • Set up, stock, and break down bars, beverage stations, guest tables, and event service areas.
  • Prepare bars with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and tools needed to execute events successfully.
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with MAC standards and all applicable regulations.
  • Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and seek clarification when needed to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and responsibly serve beverages in compliance with OLCC requirements.
  • Respond to guest needs promptly and professionally while delivering a personalized hospitality experience.
  • Communicate guest concerns, feedback, or service issues to the Banquet Captain or Catering Manager to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain proper pour control and follow departmental standards for inventory and cost management.
  • Ensure bars, coolers, storage areas, and service stations remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Properly clean, store, and maintain bar equipment, glassware, and event supplies.
  • Collaborate with Catering, Sales, Kitchen, Event Setup, and other club departments to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Uphold MAC service standards, SHINE principles, and the Club's Code of Conduct in all interactions.
  • Support a culture of safety by identifying and reporting workplace hazards and following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
