About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Catering & Conference Services Manager to join our team. As a Catering & Conference Services Manager, you will be responsible for selling, planning, and executing social and corporate events, as well as servicing assigned corporate and group accounts.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in catering sales, event management, conference services, or hospitality sales
  • Strong sales skills with ability to prospect, negotiate, and close business
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in event management or sales systems (e.g Delphi, TripleSeat, Social Tables or similar preferred)
  • Flexible schedule with availability for evenings and weekneds as required by events
  • Self-motivated, professional, and customer-focused

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to all catering and event inquiries
  • Proactively prospect for new social and corporate catering business through outbound sales calls, networking, and relationship building
  • Conduct site inspections and client tours to showcase the venue and services
  • Prepare and present catering proposals, contracts, and pricing
  • Collaborate with Director of Sales & Marketing on sales strategies and revenue opportunities
  • Sell and service social events including weddings, galas, holiday parties, and special events
  • Detail all aspects of events, including menus, room setups, AV needs. timelines, and special requests
  • Create and distribute Banquets Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure accuracy of all event details
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients from booking through event execution
  • Serve as Conference Services Manager for assigned corporate and group accounts
  • Manage group room blocks, meeting space, and ancillary event needs in coordination with sales and operations teams
  • Ensure seamless execution of multi-day and conferences
  • Handle on-site group needs, changes, and problem resolution during events
  • Be present on-site during events as needed to ensure proper setup and service standards
  • Address client concerns in a timely manner and professionally to ensure satisfaction
  • Conduct post-event follow up to gather feedback and encourage repeat business
