About The Position

This is a full-time Catering Admin position for a corporate cafe, offering a great opportunity to enter the field of Event Planning & Catering. The role involves maintaining an online database of menus, nutrition information, ordering processes, and calendars. The Catering Admin will communicate daily with Chefs and departments on special projects and requests, order supplies from approved vendors, handle information requests, process charges to department cost centers, and provide weekly sales reports. While performing general clerical duties, the individual must understand the jobs of those supported and adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, maintaining high standards of conduct and confidentiality. Continuous growth in food and beverage knowledge and customer understanding is encouraged. The Catering Admin is expected to consistently meet company standards for speed, quality, consistency, and training, with a strong focus on customer service. Collaboration with Chefs, co-workers, and other admins is essential. The role is dynamic and may involve additional tasks assigned by management, within an exciting and challenging work environment designed for growth and achieving one's best work.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills.
  • Experience in food, hospitality, and/or other service industries.
  • Essential communication skills.
  • Prior Administrative experience.
  • MAC iOS experience.
  • Microsoft Suite proficiency.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in aspects of food service and catering.
  • Basic level knowledge of health and safety rules.
  • Extraordinarily Service Oriented - a demonstrable high level of customer service is mandatory.
  • Dynamic and agile - highly organized, ability to switch between locations and job duties.
  • Inclusive - ability to work with and serve a diverse workforce.
  • Holder of valid and current Food Handler Certification.
  • Flexible with schedule due to changes in business need.
  • Ability to multi-task and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Must be at least 25 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Pass a DMV check.
