Works with business partners to define procurement strategies for given categories of spend based on market analysis and demand forecasting. Develops category plans, strategic sourcing of goods and services, manages supplier performance, and facilitates joint process improvements with suppliers to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO). Category Management is a strategic approach to procurement, where the oversight of Chevron's spend is segmented into areas of similar/related products and services (categories). Supports medium sized clients/customers and makes significant contributions to more complex projects under periodic supervision. General knowledge of the work function and Chevron’s practices. Responsible for conducting various forms of analysis for Supply Chain Management team including spend, business, financial, supplier and market analysis. Develops or assists in the development of category plan documents, business cases, and other presentations with emphasis on clear presentation and interpretation of data gathered.
