This position reports to: VP, Procurement US & LATAM __ Your role and responsibilities: In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, plan, and implement procurement strategy focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for an assigned category or group of categories. Each day, you will ensure execution in accordance with company, procurement, and supply base management instructions and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval. The work model for the role is ideally hybrid out of one of the following ABB locations: Memphis, TN; Byhalia, MS; Portland, TN #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the ABB Installation Products in the US & LATAM region. Main stakeholders are US operation group.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience or supply chain management
  • Associate degree or BA/BS in Business Management or related field is highly preferred but not required with required work experience.
  • Proficiency with software applications such as MS-Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.), Power BI, SAP Ariba along with strong data management and analytical skills.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach with Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to navigate a fast-paced global organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with track record of project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Track record of ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel an approximate 10-15%.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process
  • Sourcing process for implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy and ensuring that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
  • Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts.
  • Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists, and terms and conditions.
  • Ensuring identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability) in accordance with company policies.
