Category Manager
About The Position
The Category Manager manages sourcing, contracting, and supplier-related activities for the Supply Chain department. The role oversees the full contract lifecycle for supplies and purchased services, including drafting, reviewing, redlining, negotiating, executing, and maintaining agreements. The Category Manager partners with Legal, Finance, Information Systems, Privacy, Supply Chain, and other internal stakeholders to ensure contracts meet organizational standards, mitigate risk, and support business objectives. The position also serves as a liaison between suppliers and internal customers, providing contract guidance, status updates, and procurement support.

Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, redline, execute, and maintain contracts for supplies and purchased services.
- Ensure contracts comply with organizational, regulatory, and legal requirements before approval and execution.
- Manage sourcing and procurement activities, including supplier evaluations, pricing agreements, contract renewals, and bid processes.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support business goals and operational needs.
- Coordinate contract reviews with Legal, Finance, Information Systems, Privacy, and other cross-functional teams.
- Track and manage contracts through Workday Strategic Sourcing and related contract management systems.
- Maintain accurate contract documentation and ensure records are properly stored in the organization's contract repository.
- Provide timely communication and status updates to stakeholders and leadership regarding contract and sourcing activities.
- Support value analysis initiatives, supplier diversity programs, and continuous process improvement efforts.
- Serve as a backup resource for other Supply Chain team members and support evolving departmental priorities.
