About The Position
Molo Companies is seeking a Category Manager to lead product categories across our C‑Store division while also maintaining the essential daily operations of our Pricebook system. This role blends category strategy, pricing accuracy, vendor collaboration, and data analysis to support profitability and strong store performance.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Ability to interpret data and recommend actions.
- Effective communication with stores, vendors, and internal teams.
Nice To Haves
- Retail, merchandising, pricing, or category management experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and retail back-office systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned categories, including pricing, promotions, assortment, and margin optimization.
- Analyze sales trends to make data-driven recommendations.
- Implement and verify promotional pricing and ensure accurate POS updates.
- Investigate cost discrepancies and margin issues.
- Oversee Iowa ABD liquor ordering and monthly lottery UPC additions.
- Collaborate with vendors on new items, resets, and promotional programs.
- Work cross‑functionally with Accounting, Marketing, and store management.
