Category Manager-Supply Chain
About The Position
WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking an experienced Category Manager to support the Professional Services category within the Supply Chain organization. This role involves leading sourcing projects, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and implementing category strategies aligned with enterprise goals. The Category Manager will partner with team members across the organization to guide procurement projects, optimize supplier performance, and deliver value through strategic sourcing. This is a collaborative role with exposure to business leaders and main decision-makers. The position follows a hybrid schedule, with onsite work Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday, during standard business hours. The primary location is Minneapolis, MN.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement
- Experience in Contract negotiation
- Experience in Supplier relationship management
- Experience in Strategic sourcing methodologies
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing events and procurement activities within the Professional Services category
- Develop category strategies according to our goals
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and issue resolution
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings and value
- Partner with your team to understand our needs and provide procurement solutions
- Ensure compliance with procurement processes, and best practices
