About The Position

Monmouth Cards is looking for a Category Manager to own and grow our Single Cards business. This role is responsible for buying, pricing, listing, and managing inventory across all single cards, ensuring we stay competitive, in stock, and aligned with market demand across retail and eCommerce. Monmouth Cards is a fast-growing trading card and collectibles company with a focus on retail, eCommerce, and live selling. We specialize in sports cards, Pokémon, and other trading card products, serving both new collectors and experienced hobbyists. Our business is built around product knowledge, strong customer experience, and a high-energy, team-driven environment. With multiple retail locations and a rapidly expanding online presence, we are focused on becoming a leading name in the trading card space. Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of trading cards (sports, TCG, or both)
  • Experience buying, selling, or managing card inventory preferred
  • Analytical mindset with understanding of pricing, comps, and market trends
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to move quickly and make informed buying decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with marketplaces (eBay, TCGplayer, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own the Single Cards category across all channels (in-store + online)
  • Source and purchase inventory (collections, wholesale, market opportunities)
  • Price and reprice inventory based on real-time market data
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure strong selection without overexposure
  • Oversee listing and merchandising of cards online
  • Monitor trends in sports cards and TCG markets to guide buying decisions
  • Work with operations team to ensure efficient processing and organization of inventory
  • Identify high-value opportunities and optimize for margin and turnover
