Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Significant experience in direct procurement within an industrial environment (raw materials, packaging, or subcontracting), preferably in an international setting and ideally within high-volume industries such as FMCG/consumer goods.
• Bilingual (French and English).
• Strong influence and negotiation skills with suppliers.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a results-oriented mindset.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to meeting business needs.
• Comfortable working with multiple data sources and large datasets.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of industrial environments and manufacturing constraints is required; experience in the FMCG/consumer goods sector is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Own the supply security process, including risk assessment, capacity analysis, supply assurance plans, and lead-time reduction initiatives.
• Act as the lead during major logistics or quality crises, ensuring internal alignment, coordination, and escalation management.
• Develop strategic sourcing recommendations for specific materials or segments using the 7-Step Strategic Sourcing methodology to sustainably improve procurement performance while considering total cost of ownership.
• Lead local tendering processes, including supplier selection and negotiations, and support and represent the site in global sourcing projects.
• Build market expertise through identification of key players, alternative sources, and understanding of cost structures and cost breakdowns.
• Monitor and optimize supplier performance through semi-annual SQP KPI reviews and business reviews with key suppliers.
• Analyze financial performance monthly (actual prices paid versus budget) for the current and previous periods and establish a forecast trend for the current year, including understanding raw material market impacts on purchased materials.
• Identify and lead cost reduction projects using value analysis and design-to-cost methodologies.
• Establish ambitious annual budgets for each purchased item.
• Manage supplier relationships contractually when required.
• Present quarterly business reviews to Plant and Procurement Management, including KPI tracking and progress on major initiatives.
• Support the MS&T team in implementing NPD/NPI projects related to the manufacturing site.
• Handle administrative activities representing approximately 15% of the role, including invoice discrepancy resolution and system updates.
