About The Position

Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Category Manager – Execution Coordinator to support multiple Wells Category Teams with a focus on execution, stakeholder coordination, supplier engagement, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for an early-career to mid-level supply chain professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working across multiple teams, and has a passion for driving results, improving processes, and building strong business relationships. The successful candidate will serve as a key coordinator across category management, suppliers, business stakeholders, and supply chain teams to ensure priorities are executed efficiently and value delivery opportunities are realized.

Requirements

  • Experience in Category Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Contracting, Supplier Management, Project Coordination, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, or performance tracking tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and coordinate across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.

Nice To Haves

  • Oil & Gas industry experience.
  • Experience supporting supplier management, procurement, contracting, or category management teams.
  • Familiarity with supplier performance reporting and relationship management programs.
  • Experience with GEP SMART or similar procurement platforms.
  • Exposure to international contracting or global supply chain environments.
  • Interest in process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled business solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and drive execution of category strategies, contracting plans, supplier initiatives, and team priorities.
  • Track progress against category objectives and help remove barriers to execution.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives designed to improve category performance and business outcomes.
  • Facilitate meetings, action tracking, and stakeholder alignment across multiple workstreams.
  • Coordinate supplier engagement activities, including executive sponsor meetings, supplier business reviews, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, category managers, business stakeholders, and asset SCM teams.
  • Support supplier relationship management efforts and identify opportunities to improve collaboration and service delivery.
  • Assist with relationship health assessments and continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track: Supplier performance, Category initiatives, Budgets and savings, Competitive performance initiatives, Execution milestones and value delivery.
  • Ensure data accuracy and provide visibility to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive standardization of tools, templates, reporting processes, and best practices.
  • Maintain digital workspaces, document repositories, and audit-ready records.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Capture and share lessons learned across teams.
  • Champion the use of AI and digital technologies to automate processes and improve productivity.
  • Support implementation of innovative solutions that enhance reporting, coordination, and team effectiveness.
