About The Position

This position manages the Procurement of Capital Equipment for Vistaprint manufacturing facilities in North America. Equipment is purchased to support New Product Launches and replacement of equipment that has reached end of life. The position works closely with Technology, Engineering, and Maintenance teams and management to support Supplier selection, Contracting, and after-sales service requirements for Capital Equipment. As a key liaison between North American operations and Global Procurement, you will drive the alignment of capital purchasing strategies. This is a dynamic, high-impact role requiring effective collaboration with global suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders. This position is responsible for coordinating all sourcing and supply chain activities related to Capital Equipment Purchasing for North America. This includes strategy development, formalizing sourcing milestones, leading contract negotiations, and making final supplier selections. This position will ensure that all equipment, spare parts, and after-sales service are included in scope and negotiated at time of sourcing. Additional tasks will be assigned to ensure continuous improvement of the sourcing process to ensure the best commercial outcome for Vistaprint.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary education majoring in business, materials management, or engineering is required. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in supplier relationship management
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (specifically Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides)
  • Expertise in structuring contracts, conducting negotiations, and managing the entire contract lifecycle
  • Demonstrated experience in Capex Sourcing, Supply Chain Management and cost optimization
  • Highly skilled in sourcing strategy development and supplier negotiations
  • Proficiency with use of SAP
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and adaptability to flexible working hours
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel to vendor sites as needed
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to navigate tight deadlines and complex cross-functional interactions on a daily basis

Nice To Haves

  • PMAC or APICS certification is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Drive execution of the Capital Procurement category by combining technical expertise with market intelligence
  • Coordinate complex strategies to ensure that Capex sourcing decisions involve the relevant stakeholders, considering tradeoffs between competing business priorities
  • Managing, developing, and nurturing supplier relationships to optimize long-term Total Cost of Ownership and minimize business risk
  • Serve as the North American facilities first point of escalation for risk and performance issues related to CapEx Suppliers
  • Managing a complex Supply Chain in coordination with a customs team to ensure on time arrival of equipment
  • Primary contact responsible for facilitating the negotiation, communication, and implementation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for Capital Equipment within North American Operations
  • Utilizing expertise in Contract Management best practices to optimize value throughout the Contract Lifecycle
