About The Position

Lead the company’s procurement strategy to strengthen competitive advantage across AFNA Operations, plants, and business units. Oversee key procurement categories, including BOPET Films, driving measurable value through cost optimization, innovation, quality enhancement, service excellence, and risk management. Deliver sustainable business results by building and expanding procurement’s strategic contribution to the organization. Champion procurement priorities in Innovation and Simplification by enabling and sourcing innovative solutions, while standardizing and consolidating supply strategies across the AFNA business to improve efficiency and long-term value creation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or a scientific/technical field required.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or related commercial or operational roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing within matrixed and/or multinational organizations, collaborating across functions, regions, and cultures.
  • Working experience in procurement or commercial disciplines such as category management, supplier management, contract negotiation, or cost/value analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives or workstreams, influence stakeholders, and support change initiatives without requiring direct line authority.
  • Solid communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and operate with moderate supervision.
  • In-depth industry knowledge and market insights within the BOPET Film sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing a cohesive, business-aligned long-term Category Strategy for BOPET Film across the region, aligned with the global strategy and business objectives.
  • Ensuring the overall delivery of the category targets following the target setting process.
  • Ensuring delivery against the Procurement Balanced Scorecard measures for the category.
  • Consolidating supplier, market, category and internal business data and information to inform the Category Strategy.
  • Communicating the final Category Strategy and Annual Category Plans to the relevant stakeholders in the region.
  • Managing regional implementation of sourcing events (RFI/RFQ/eAuctions) and strategic projects.
  • Ensuring the resources, information and tools are in place for project execution throughout the category.
  • Defining and measuring relevant key performance indicators for key suppliers in the category, aligned to the Amcor Supplier Performance Management Framework.
  • Leading innovation with strategic category suppliers.
  • Ensuring robust contractual arrangements are in place for the category.
  • Monitoring compliance and adherence to Amcor Procurement policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring internal issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Providing input to Amcor’s acquisition strategies by completing the due diligence and integration activities relevant to the category.
  • Leading the monitoring and reporting of GHG emissions data from suppliers in alignment with the BOPET Film GHG and Procurement excellence team.
  • Fostering partnerships with suppliers to secure and source raw materials with higher recycled content and/or with lower CO2 footprint.
  • Ensuring procurement strategies align with internal and customer targets for recycled content and carbon reductions.
  • Leading initiatives to enhance Amcor`s sustainability performance in the supply chain.
  • Owning key regional supplier relationships for the assigned categories; leading supplier segmentation and performance management.
  • Building strong relationships with key suppliers regional contacts in order to negotiate more innovative and beneficial contractual agreements and service levels.
  • Managing the negotiation process, content and results. Leading the negotiation team to define the desired outcome of a negotiation.
  • Identifying stakeholders; understanding and interpreting their current and future needs, and managing their expectations. Giving advice and building long-term value partnerships with these stakeholders.
  • Collaborating closely with relevant departments to ensure understanding and compliance with key procurement strategies and policies.
  • Serving as the key interface between Global Category Lead, regional procurement, R&D, and business stakeholders in the region.
  • Facilitating regional qualifications, transitions, and material changes.
  • Responsible for the bottom-up aggregation of all category data across Business Group to inform the top-down target setting process.
  • Optimizing total cost of ownership (TCO) and actively contributing to budget planning and cost forecasting.
  • Ensuring robust contract coverage and track adherence to agreed terms.
  • Reconciling “gaps” between the bottom-up and top-down targets, and identifying initiatives required to close any such disparities.
  • Ensuring that financial resource allocation is cost-effective and aligned with strategic and operational plans.
  • Building an accurate forecast for category price movements.
  • Providing periodic and ad hoc reporting and forecasting on performance against plan and potential in following up on KPIs and reporting on trends.
