Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity in the BGS-Government Supply Chain Strategy/Category Management team for an Experienced Category Management Specialist. This team is responsible for supply chain category strategy across all BGS-G businesses. Integral to the profitable execution of the BGS-G business, Supply Chain Category Management is responsible for developing and implementing category plans to improve supply chain delivery and execution. Specifically, this role is responsible for leading supply chain strategy, including suppliers to grow, maintain, develop, and exit, developing and managing strategic supplier relationships, informing sourcing activities, negotiating agreements, and issuing and assessing various solicitations. The role also involves developing new sources/manufacturers and collaborating with other Category Management teams. The successful candidate is an action-oriented, self-motivated driver that’s accountable for results, with a track record of driving business impacts even when elements are complex or ambiguous. They must work effectively and efficiently across functional, organizational, and geographic boundaries within a matrix organization to influence others and effectively explore alternatives to reach outcomes that gain support. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to communicate effectively up and down the organization and skillfully present to executive leadership. The candidate should be a motivated self-starter fueled by curiosity, applying structure and discipline to drive innovation and create value.
