About The Position

The Aeronautics Supply Chain team at Lockheed Martin is seeking a Category Management Manager for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) organization. This leader will be responsible for executing sourcing strategies for development programs and emerging technologies. The role involves managing a team of professional Subcontract Administrators and Subcontract Managers who administer subcontracts and purchase orders for several Advanced Development Programs. The manager will collaborate with Material Program Managers on the overall Acquisition Strategy across all supported programs. This position directs all phases of subcontracts, including sourcing strategies, initiation, Request for Proposals (RFPs), proposals, negotiations, issuing purchase orders, long-term agreements, internal audits, cost accountability executive reviews, supplier reviews, program reviews, contract closeout, compliance requirements, and associated metrics. Additionally, the role is responsible for coordinating employee selection/hiring, training, development, performance assessments, work assignments, and disciplinary actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
  • Demonstrated experience working with FAR/DFAR regulations
  • Experience with subcontract cost, quality, schedule and technical program performance
  • Experience in Aerospace & Defense (A & D) Industry, driving results within a metric based environment
  • Experience as a Manager and/or Team Lead including; identifying & building organizational talent, team building and individual contributor growth/development
  • Must have a Secret Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Experience interfacing and interacting with senior leaders of the organization
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple overlapping projects, simultaneously
  • Negotiations experience, in a Truth in Negotiations (TINA) environment
  • Procurement experience to include major sub systems, and mission systems, per both FAR 15 and FAR 12
  • Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring new and emerging talent
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience leading cross functional initiatives
  • Experience addressing & resolving complex matters/solutions with Senior Leadership, customers & suppliers
  • Experience with continuous improvement and ability to implement change and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities
