About The Position
The Ford Purchasing team adds critical value to the entire organization. You’ll help us source the highest quality parts and services from around the globe while ensuring optimal cost and on-time delivery. You’ll also contribute to establishing a robust supply chain so that we can continually produce the vehicles our customers want. The Exhaust purchasing group is like a family - we depend on each other, help each other out, and deliver great results! We are looking for someone to come join this family to take on the challenges of delivering cost, quality and delivery targets for the exhaust commodity. Emissions regulations continue to change which drives the need for innovation and waste elimination in catalytic converters from both a design and cost standpoint. In this dynamic environment, you will be developing key relationships within Ford supply chain, engineering, programs and finance, as well as with our supplier partners.
Requirements
- Experience in purchasing or a related field.
- Ability to develop key relationships within cross-functional teams and with external partners.
- Understanding of supply chain principles.
- Ability to manage cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Familiarity with emissions regulations and their impact on product design and cost.
