Requirements

  • 5 or more years of category procurement experience over various categories with spend in excess of $10M USD.
  • Proven experience with ERP/MRP and Warehouse/Inventory software in a manufacturing environment (experience with Genius ERP is considered a plus)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Power BI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated leader that enjoys challenges and working in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred. Proven years of experience can be substituted for lack of degree.
  • Materials management certification (CPIM) is considered a plus but not required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in this role within a manufacturing environment
  • Power BI experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute category strategy for raw materials across Alcom. Working with each site to source proper levels of inventory for optimum production support.
  • Lead sourcing workstreams for NPD launches, product transfers, and lifecycle cost improvement initiatives.
  • Lead supplier performance management, including scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead PO creation for your defined categories across each Alcom site.
  • Identification of any obsolete or excess material, driving the timely execution of disposition of materials.
  • Lead best practice layout for utilization of material MOQ’s. (Consumption of higher MOQ material across multiple sites)
  • Responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies, managing key supplier relationships, and driving total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction.
  • Implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risk, including identifying alternative suppliers and developing contingency plans.
  • Drive continuous cost improvement initiatives through value engineering, should-cost modeling, and process optimization with suppliers.
  • Ownership and participation with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for supplier quality, delivery (OTIF), cost, and innovation.
  • Provide strategic procurement insight to leadership and cross-functional partners to support business planning and growth initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of Alcom team. This role will work in collaboration across production planning, logistics, and material control.
