Provides procurement solutions expertise, using Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, Management (QCLDM) to deliver maximum value for indirect goods & services. This position serves as the Category Buyer for Indirect Purchasing and provides the business-unit-facing function for the GFSD Indirect Procurement organization.

Requirements

Degree or equivalent experience desired.
Knowledge of AI prompting techniques and data analytics processes, including data inspection, cleansing, transformation, and modeling, with the ability to uncover insights, draw logical conclusions, and support informed decision-making.
Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Knowledge of supplier relationship management concepts and strategies; ability to address critical issues to meet supplier needs and maintain engaged, partnering relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities

Develop, communicate, and implement global, regional, and local sourcing strategies.
Develop, collaborate, and manage policies, agreements, country source catalogs, and special purchasing programs.
Liaise with corresponding Category-based Buyers for strategic and collaborative suppliers.
Develop, manage, and execute the category strategy managing policies, agreements, source catalogs, and special procurement programs.
Recognize potential for cost decreases, inventory reductions, and quality improvement.
Assess the soundness of business proposals and associated risks.
Act as the liaison between the organization and the supplier to communicate information explicitly, considering production demands and suppliers' conditions.
Document supplier performance on time sensitiveness and production.
Maintain a strong relationship with suppliers.
