Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, concentration in Management or Marketing, preferably.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of preferred experience in Category Analyst functions.
  • Preferably have worked for the Walmart account.
  • Knowledge of Retail Link or Scintilla program.
  • Experience in Analysis.
  • Proficiency in the design and implementation of planograms.
  • Ability to interpret market or brand line information.
  • Specific knowledge in category management techniques.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Knowledge in sales, specifically in the consumer industry.
  • Ability to recognize customer needs and respond diligently.
  • Skills in conflict resolution and complaint management to achieve a successful resolution for all involved parties.
  • Strategic thinking and results-oriented approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle differences in audience or client types.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and execute instructions.

  • Own vehicle with valid auto insurance and Puerto Rico driver's license.
  • Physical aptitude to lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

  • Develop planogram strategies for the benefit of categories, considering supplier guidelines.
  • Evaluate each product in the planogram based on sales, integrate new products quickly, and maintain effective communication with the client to achieve approvals.
  • Support category analyses with supplier resources such as market share, out-of-stock reports, and relevant consumer information. Share this information with clients.
  • Effectively communicate approved client plans to Category Management Supervisors, highlighting significant changes.
  • Evaluate the results of implemented planograms every six months and present recommendations to clients. Keep plans and product images up-to-date.
  • Deliver work plans on time with objectives, analyses, and information requested by the client and the company.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of information provided by the client.
  • Foster teamwork to develop professionalism among colleagues for the benefit of the department.
  • Provide excellent service to internal and external clients to maintain the quality and good service that characterizes Plaza Provision.
  • Maintain constant communication with the client for evaluation, changes proposed by the client, or opportunities in categories.
  • Prepare and present the recommended design to the client according to the category planogram, ensuring its positioning benefits the client.
  • Ensure compliance with the planogram agreed upon with the client.
  • Anticipate risks or barriers that may hinder compliance with client agreements and communicate them to identify solutions.
  • Attend training sessions and/or corporate planning meetings to gain new ideas for product launches.
  • Execute specific category adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain healthy and solid business relationships with clients.
  • Appropriately use tools and equipment provided by the company.
  • Maintain a professional image at all times.
  • Address and appropriately channel client situations or claims, if necessary.
  • Coordinate with the Setting Supervisor for the implementation of agreements made with the client and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external clients.
