About The Position

The Comforted Kitty is seeking reliable, responsible cat lovers for a part-time, independent contractor position as an in-home cat sitter in the Fort Collins, CO area. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to set your availability and service area. You will be matched with clients needing cat care while they are away. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who enjoy independent work, have a passion for cats, and want to provide peace of mind to pet parents while building relationships with repeat clients.

Requirements

Experience with cat care, particularly in a pet sitting capacity.
Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Strong written communication skills.
Comfort working independently in clients' homes.
Possession of a smartphone with reliable internet and a camera.
Experience administering medication (oral, injections, fluids).
Availability on weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Experience with different service types including drop-ins (30/45/60 minutes, 1-3x daily), extended daytime visits (2-8 hours), overnights (10-hour stays), and 24-hour live-in care.

Responsibilities

Perform cat sitting visits, including feeding cats and refreshing water.
Clean litter boxes.
Provide playtime, affection, or companionship tailored to each cat's personality.
Send visit updates and photos to clients via an app.
Follow detailed client care instructions.
Bring in mail or packages.
Adjust lights, blinds, or manage trash/recycling as requested.
Administer medication if within your experience and comfort level.
Be available for visits during client travel, including weekends, holidays, mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
