Requirements

  • Graduate from an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine.
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP).
  • ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) required (within 1 year hire/transfer).
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Must be willing to work in-person and/or remotely, as needed/directed.
  • If not ARRT(CT), then must work under the supervision of an ARRT(CT) technologist until ARRT(CT) is obtained.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • 1 year in Radiologic technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, Nuclear Medicine, or CT procedures, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
