Casualty Field Adjuster - El Paso, TX
About The Position
Davies North America is seeking an experienced Casualty Field Adjuster to handle liability and casualty-related field investigations. This role involves scene inspections, taking statements, liability development, field documentation, and supporting bodily injury or general liability claim handling. The ideal candidate is a field professional capable of investigating losses, inspecting sites, documenting findings, evaluating damages and exposures, and communicating effectively with various stakeholders including insureds, claimants, carriers, clients, vendors, and internal teams. The successful candidate will possess strong technical judgment, professional communication skills, and the ability to manage field assignments efficiently and accurately. This position is based in the El Paso, Texas territory and requires the candidate to reside within or near El Paso, with regular local travel expected for on-site inspections, investigations, and meetings.
Requirements
- 3+ years of adjusting experience
- Experience in third party claims handling and coverage determination
- Active adjuster license(s) and the ability to obtain additional licenses as required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel locally and regionally within the assigned territory
- Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management skills
- Comfort using claims platforms, mobile documentation tools, and estimating/reporting systems
- Experience handling field claims in bodily injury, auto and home liability, general liability, or commercial equipment
- Ability to work independently while managing deadlines, territory activity, and service expectations
- Strong investigative mindset with high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presence when interacting with insureds, claimants, attorneys, vendors, and carrier representatives
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities in a fast-paced field environment
Nice To Haves
- Ideal candidate will reside in Texas, New Mexico, or Arizona
- Experience with reviewing estimates from auto and property estimating platforms
- Carrier certifications and multi-state licensing
- Bilingual (Spanish) capabilities
Responsibilities
- Conduct investigations for assigned claims
- Inspect or remotely manage inspections of property, structures, vehicles, equipment, or accident scenes as required by assignment
- Document damages, conditions, causation indicators, and other relevant findings through notes, measurements, photographs, and diagrams
- Evaluate loss facts and support investigation of coverage, liability, damages, and exposure
- Obtain statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, or other involved parties when needed
- Prepare timely, accurate, and well-documented reports for clients and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate with examiners, managers, carriers, policyholders, vendors, attorneys, and other claim participants as needed
- Maintain complete file documentation in accordance with company standards, client instructions, and regulatory expectations
- Escalate complex issues, large-loss exposures, litigation indicators, or specialty claim concerns appropriately
- Manage field assignments within service expectations, turnaround times, and quality standards
- Travel throughout the assigned coverage territory as required
