About The Position

GEICO is hosting a networking event for experienced Bodily Injury, Casualty, and Litigation Claims Professionals in Richardson, TX on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The event is for experienced claims professionals with prior Bodily Injury and auto liability claims handling experience. Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of successful Bodily Injury claims handling experience
  • Prior private passenger automobile liability claims experience required
  • Active Adjuster license required at time of hire
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Department of Insurance guidelines and regulations
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Litigation handling experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the claims process
  • Verify coverage and applicable policy provisions
  • Investigate claims and determine liability exposure
  • Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate when appropriate
  • Evaluate damages and determine claim value
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants, insureds, and attorneys
  • Authorize payments within designated authority levels
  • Request additional authority when needed
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and company guidelines
  • Establish and adjust claim reserves appropriately
  • Communicate significant claim developments to leadership
  • Participate in claims forums and team discussions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
