About The Position

Friesens is looking for reliable, service-oriented individuals to join our Staff Services team in a casual capacity. This role provides support in both Food Services and Custodial Services, helping create a clean, safe, welcoming, and positive environment for employees, customers, and visitors across our facilities. As a Casual Staff Services Support team member, you will provide coverage and assistance in both lunchroom operations and custodial services. You will help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming facilities, support food service operations, and contribute to an exceptional employee and customer experience. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting multiple Friesens locations in Altona as operational needs require. Flexible hours are available on a casual basis.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma, GED, or Mature Student Diploma preferred.
Previous food service, hospitality, custodial, janitorial, or customer service experience is an asset.
Experience handling cash and operating a cash register is an asset.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare, serve, and replenish food and beverages while following food safety standards.
Maintain clean, sanitized, and welcoming lunchroom, office, and common areas.
Perform routine custodial duties, including cleaning, disinfecting, waste removal, and floor care.
Stock and maintain food service, washroom, and janitorial supplies.
Operate a cash register and perform basic cash handling and administrative tasks.
Prepare and maintain customer, employee, and common areas to Friesens standards.
Identify and report maintenance, safety, and supply concerns.
Provide support across multiple Friesens locations and assist with coverage requirements as needed.
Follow all health, safety, confidentiality, and workplace procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
