About The Position

Healthcare Australia (HCA) is seeking casual Trainers (RNs with TAE 40122 or recent training experience) for its National Training and Education division in Bunbury. This division delivers high-quality training for healthcare workers across acute, aged care, and disability support settings, offering accredited and non-accredited courses. The role involves delivering training in various healthcare topics, including Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, Medications for care workers, and more. Trainers will be provided with session plans and resources, and will be responsible for both practical observation and marking of theoretical tests. This is an ongoing casual position with approximately 10-15 hours per week, with rosters provided weeks in advance. The pay rate is $68.50 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus super.

Requirements

  • TAE40116 or TAE40122 qualifications OR recent clinical training experience
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Confidence utilising technology when delivering courses virtually or face-to-face
  • RN experience in acute, aged care and/or disability support/NDIS (preference for disability)
  • Experience in delivering healthcare training (e.g., Manual Handling, BLS, Medications)
  • COVID19 vaccination
  • Must reside and hold full working rights in Australia

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training in areas such as Manual Handling, Basic Life Support, Medications for care workers, PEG tubes and feeding, Bowel and Bladder care, Diabetes and Insulin Pen administration, Epilepsy and Midazolam, ANTT, Aggression handling, Tracheostomy care, Falls prevention, Dementia care awareness and more.
  • Conduct practical observations.
  • Mark theoretical tests.
