About The Position
The Cowichan Valley Regional District is seeking a casual Food & Beverage II for the Cowichan Lake Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. This role reports to the Food & Beverage Coordinator and involves performing various duties including cooking, food preparation, serving, cashiering, dishwashing, bussing tables, and executing banquet, concession, cleaning, and sanitation tasks. The Food & Beverage II is responsible for providing professional service to patrons, ensuring their satisfaction, responding to inquiries with tact, and directing concerns to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Secondary school graduation or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Experience in cooking and food preparation, short order cooking, concession-style cooking and banquet work
- Food Safe Basic Certificate
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
- Basic First Aid certificate
- Ability to submit a satisfactory criminal record check
- Ability to submit a satisfactory driver’s abstract
Responsibilities
- Effectively perform duties assigned by the Food & Beverage Coordinator
- Perform cooking and prep cooking
- Serve patrons
- Perform cashiering duties
- Wash dishes
- Bus tables
- Perform banquet, concession, cleaning and sanitation work
- Provide professional service to patrons ensuring their satisfaction
- Respond to inquiries with tact
- Direct concerns to the appropriate sources
