Requirements
- Grade 12 minimum
- Recent Safe Food Handlers certificate issued by Public Health
- Work as part of a team
- Capable of adapting to different situations and change
- Keen interest in working with seniors
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of three years’ experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Helps cooks and servers collect and strip trays and tables for washing, clean and reset tables for next sitting.
- Loads, operates and empties dishwasher. Puts dishes away.
- Damp mops floors.
- Cleans other kitchen equipment such as blenders, refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.
- Maintains general cleanliness of the dry goods storage area, walk-in fridge and freezer, receiving area by correct sweeping and mopping of floors, washing of walls and racks.
- Performs all duties in a clean and sanitary manner.
- Ensures that adequate standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained in food storage, and food service.
- Ensures availability and maintenance of dietary supplies and equipment and submits requisitions as necessary.
