About The Position

PDM, a leader in the industry with over 50 years of experience, is looking for mechanically inclined, self-starter individuals to join our team as Casting Operators. We are committed to quality, innovation, and safety, and we need team members who share our passion. We operate 24/7, and you'll be a crucial part of our operation, helping to produce top-quality products in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. The shift for this role is 6:50 PM - 7 AM Friday, Saturday and Sunday Nights.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
A self-starter mindset who can take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail to monitor complex equipment and processes.
A commitment to safety and following procedures every time.
Solid teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively.
Reliability, consistency, and the drive to grow within the company.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Physical fitness, with the ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in various environments (hot in summer, cold in winter).
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Setting up, operating, and maintaining casting equipment.
Ensuring continuous, efficient production with minimal downtime.
Performing basic machine maintenance.
Managing casting molds.
Controlling critical process parameters like cooling water and gas flow.
Staying alert to detect malfunctions and adjust settings.
Keeping detailed records to ensure product quality.
Responding quickly and effectively to emergency situations to minimize disruptions.
Communicating issues clearly and suggesting improvements.
Working closely with the team to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
