About The Position

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Cast House Manager will serve as a single point of contact for Bonnell's casting needs, with a primary focus on quality processing and production efficiencies that will allow us to reduce scrap and increase production rates. The principle role of the Cast House Manager is to provide highly skilled technical expertise and knowledge for operating the Ingot area as well as the Aluminum Lithium Cast house. This position is responsible for developing and implementing advanced information management systems to ensure that critical process, recovery, and quality information is delivered to the process operators.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on fostering technical excellence in metal and alloy processing.
  • Working knowledge of melting, casting, finishing, process control, quality systems, and production reporting, including an understanding of how metals and alloys behave during industrial processing.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint to support technical documentation, process analysis, and project planning.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across engineering, operations, and quality teams.
  • Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in a demanding, fast-paced production environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemical engineering, operations, manufacturing, metallurgy, or a related technical field involving the study and improvement of metals and alloys.
  • 3–5 years of technical and managerial experience in melting, casting, finishing, or related manufacturing operations, ideally involving metallurgical analysis or alloy development.
  • Experience implementing statistical process control, corrective action processes, and advanced quality systems to ensure metallurgical consistency, product integrity, and process reliability.
