About The Position

Responsible to the CASS Manager for performing inspection data analysis, which continually analyzes and surveys the effectiveness of the 10 elements of the Maintenance Program.

Requirements

  • Airframe & Powerplant License or military aviation experience preferred.
  • Degree in Aviation/Engineering, related field or equivalent desired.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems and components.
  • Excellent Analytical skills.
  • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance, manuals, policies and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written/oral communications.
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management.
  • Intermediate knowledge and skills of computer applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point software required.
  • Ability to self-manage time schedules and deliverables.
  • Proficiency with process development and general organizational skills.
  • Must be a methodical and pragmatic problem solver and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English.
  • Ability to write detailed analysis reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to give verbal and written directions to assigned staff.
  • Ability to conduct basic mathematics; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and to convert between different units of measure.
  • Intermediate to advanced aptitude to perform statistical formulas and compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for compliance with CASS Department processes. Must identify any changes that will further the continuous improvement of departmental processes and will submit recommended policy and procedure changes to the CASS Manager for approval.
  • Review weekly and monthly Maintenance Delay events in the AMOS database, interface with Maintenance Control Quality Assurance with any reconciliation findings, prepare and provide the monthly Maintenance Delay report to the CASS Data Coordinator for inclusion in the CASS Maintenance Report.
  • Identify Maintenance Delay/Cancellation data discrepancies and interface with Maintenance Control Quality Assurance for delay data corrections in the AMOS database.
  • Perform Preliminary Root Cause Analysis & Final Root Cause Analysis of “Alert-based alerts” (i.e., Maintenance Delays), which exceed their CASS Performance Standards each month, or “Special Projects” identified by the CASS Manager.
  • Lead Final Root Cause Analysis investigations and ensure the formal CASS Root Cause Analysis process are completed. Consult with Technical Experts, assist in the development of Corrective Actions and Follow-Up Plans, report key milestones as achieved and present the analysis to the RSG.
  • Provide alert presentation findings to the CASS Data Coordinator and CASS Senior Systems Analyst for inclusion in the monthly CASS Maintenance Report and RSG presentation.
  • Be familiar with all phases of Maintenance Delay operational data collection and reporting for which he/she has responsibility.
  • Maintain a professional quality-orientated culture as the CASS focal point for Maintenance Delay processes, and interface with other departments to foster process improvements.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality Control or CASS Manager.
