About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the Casino floor according to Company guidelines and standards. The Casino Porter ensures the Silverton standards of cleanliness and appearance for all areas, which include, but are not limited to, restrooms, casino areas, lobbies, lounges, corridors, elevators, back of house areas and exterior areas of the property. The role requires maintaining a safe and pristine work environment, working with safety as a priority and following department and company safety standards. A thorough knowledge of applicable company and departmental policies and procedures is necessary, as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future. The Casino Porter monitors and maintains cleaning of assigned areas, responds to calls for cleaning requests, spills, and biohazards, and complies with requests to assist in other areas as needed. The position also requires the ability to use a two-way radio, ensuring professional and courteous communication. Additionally, the role involves maintaining a high quality of guest service according to Silverton Be Amazing Service Standards, adhering to all appearance and uniform standards, maintaining an open line of communication with Managers, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, fellow Team Members, and Vendors. The ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner and regular, on-time attendance are essential functions of the job.

Requirements

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • Minimum of six (6) months prior Custodian/Public Area Cleaning/Porter experience, required.
  • Identification that establishes identity
  • Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Always maintaining the Silverton standards of service to guests and coworkers.
  • Ensures the Silverton standards of cleanliness and appearance for all areas, which include, but are not limited to, restrooms, casino areas, lobbies, lounges, corridors, elevators, back of house areas and exterior areas of the property.
  • Always maintain a safe and pristine work environment.
  • Works with safety as a priority and follows department and company safety standards.
  • Monitors and maintains cleaning of assigned areas, including, but not limited to, cleaning hard surfaces, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up trash, polishing metal, wiping down doors, cleaning mirrors and glass, cleaning slot machines, emptying ashtrays, cleaning baseboards, replacing and/or restocking paper products.
  • Checks assigned areas for safety and repair issues.
  • Responds to all calls for cleaning requests, spills, and biohazards.
  • Complies with requests to assist in other areas as needed.
  • Ability to use a two-way radio, ensuring professional and courteous communication.
  • Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Silverton Be Amazing Service Standards.
  • Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with Managers.
