About The Position

This role oversees the overall operation of the entire property, ensuring adherence to Company Policies, ICMP’s, and all applicable laws and regulations. The primary goal is to guarantee quality guest service by maintaining a friendly and hospitable environment, aiming to enhance and improve the customer player base. The position involves managing all casino and hotel operations, including maintaining the facility’s operating license and enforcing gaming regulations during an assigned shift. The Manager on Duty acts as a senior advisor to all departments, with a strong emphasis on gaming operations. This role also focuses on developing, enhancing, and maintaining positive relationships with guests, team members, and governmental authorities. Additionally, it involves developing, training, and managing staff to meet and exceed performance expectations.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of casino and hotel operations, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, ICMP’s, and related regulations and laws.
  • Effective and diplomatic guest service and communication skills, including interactions with staff, guests, the Division of Gaming, and other regulatory officials.
  • Extensive experience in persuading and negotiating.
  • Experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
  • Experience in problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
  • Five or more years of recent and related casino and hotel experience, preferably in table games or slot operations.
  • Two (2) or more years of related managerial experience.
  • Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
  • Ability to take actions and make recommendations beyond essential duties that may impact other departments.
  • Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Key Gaming License.
  • Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License with a good driving record.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety procedures and the use of safety equipment.
  • Manages all casino and hotel operations, including maintaining the facility’s operating license and enforcing gaming regulations during the shift.
  • Acts as the senior advisor to all departments on overall casino and hotel operations, including planning, organizing, and staffing.
  • Develops, enhances, and maintains positive and effective relations with customers, team members, and municipal, state, and federal authorities.
  • Advises and recommends strategies to the management team for staff development through hiring, training, scheduling, rewarding, and disciplining.
  • Provides direction, advice, and recommendations regarding all casino and hotel operations, including gaming regulations and ICMP’s.
  • Manages all casino operations and team members, ensuring compliance with company policies, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, ICMP’s, and all applicable regulations and laws.
  • Authorizes complimentary casino and hotel services within limits set by the General Manager.
  • Accesses all casino and hotel assets and restricted areas as authorized by the General Manager.
  • Performs backup duties for casino and hotel staff, relieving assigned positions for breaks, lunches, and staffing shortages as needed.
  • Oversees the entire operation to ensure the protection of company property and assets.
  • Acts as the Manager on Duty, overseeing the entire operation with an emphasis on gaming operations and customer service.
  • Ensures no person under twenty-one (21) is consuming alcoholic beverages, gambling, or lingering in a gaming area, including underage and off-duty employees.
  • Ensures compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policy, including annual training and testing.
