About The Position

The cage cashier is responsible for protecting company assets, adhering to company and departmental policies/procedures to include gaming regulations. Adhere to and practice customer service standards. Accurately handles customer exchanges for chips/cash equivalents for cash, cash checks within established procedures, exchange foreign currency, and all other associated cage functions. Assists customers in establishing credit lines, communicate with appropriate personnel concerning customer credit information. Handles pit fill/credits with ease, and cooperates with team members within the department, as well as with other departments. Must be able to execute all cage cashier functions to include but not limited to: Cage Marker issuance/redemption, Front Money Deposits/Withdrawals, AF/Discounts, Title 31 R/S ticket redemptions, Answer telephones, Travelers checks, Issue Total Rewards cards, Wire transfers, Casino Credit Applications, Self-Redemption units, Chip redemptions, Check Cashing, Credit Card Cash Advance, Coupon redemption, Fast Cash redemption, Numerous bank accountabilities, Foreign currency, Foreign chips. Essential job functions include ensuring excellent guest service, presenting oneself as a credit to the department, meeting attendance guidelines, protecting company assets, and providing assistance to other departments. The role requires the ability to stand for long extended periods, lift up to 35 pounds, push/pull heavy carts, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items. Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment are necessary, as is the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Responding to visual and aural cues and working in moderate to loud noise conditions are also required.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Computer experience necessary for data entry
  • Organizational abilities necessary for completion of tasks in a timely manner
  • Excellent customer service skills essential in dealing with personnel and customer base
  • Emphasis on well-groomed appearance to ensure and promote a positive image
  • Ability to stand for long extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to push/pull heavy carts on the casino floor
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned area
  • Manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment (e.g., 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine, photocopy machine)
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to respond to visual and aural cues
  • Ability to work in moderate to loud noise conditions
