About The Position

The Cashiering team’s mission is to ensure accurate, timely movement of funds across customer brokerage and retirement accounts while delivering a compliant, high-quality client experience. As a Cashiering Specialist, you will own high-volume cashiering workflows—from ACH and wires to checks and transfers—serving as a key operational link between advisors, clients, custodians, and internal partners. This role is based in our Chicago, IL, Clearwater, FL, or Westlake, TX office(s), with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of cashiering procedures, workflows, and regulatory considerations, along with a basic understanding of financial markets and the securities industry.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, with excellent data entry, written, and verbal skills, and comfortable engaging with clients and advisors over the phone.
  • Prior back-office operations experience—preferably in financial services or banking.
  • Confident handling high-volume transactional workflows using tools like Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
  • Takes ownership, adapts quickly to new systems and technologies, and follows issues through to resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Process a high volume of cashiering transactions (ACH, wires, checks, journals, custodian-to-custodian transfers) accurately, efficiently, and in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage daily transaction queues to meet strict deadlines and service-level expectations, researching and resolving discrepancies and inquiries end-to-end.
  • Serve as a primary contact for advisors, their staff, and clients across phone, email, and internal systems, providing clear updates and a seamless, professional experience.
  • Partner with our clearing firm and internal teams (Operations, Compliance, Technology, Advisor Services) to facilitate transactions, resolve issues, and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client experience within cashiering operations.

Benefits

  • Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career.
  • Performance-driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching.
  • Best-in-class benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents.
  • Lifestyle wallet — a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more.
  • Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits.
  • Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.
